11 months of Becks

I know I'm a week late for this one, but I did it! I managed to get all of Becks' monthly updates in! [I know I'll do a one year post]. I'm so dang proud of me. I wasn't sure this was feasible :) You're welcome, second child.
Also, I couldn't decide on the best picture so you get several.

Weight: Still somewhere in 16/17 lb range

Clothes and Diapers: 9 month, 9-12, and some 12 month. It's probably time to put the 9 month stuff away. All my 12 month stuff is summer, and it's just about time to get those out! Yay! Size 3 diapers. Still Luvs.

Eating: She's become a little bit pickier, but not much. LOVES MEAT. Hamburger, chicken, sausage, turkey. You name it. Also, the more flavor something has the more she likes it. And we are DONE NURSING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I nursed her for about a week just in the morning, and she didn't seem to mind. So One day I just stopped. And. It. Is. Awesome. It took her two or three weeks, but she is finally liking regular milk a little more, and loves water. She really weaned perfectly. Never threw a fit about it and never acted like she wanted to nurse after we stopped. It's really so great to be DONE.

Sleeping: Still taking two naps and her afternoon nap seems to be stretching out a bit which is glorious. Goes to bed for night between 7-7:30 and usually sleeps until 7:30 or 8 in morning.

Accomplishments/ things to note:

/ I really thought she was gonna have another front tooth to report this month. She's been working on it and I swore I saw it poking through one day and now it's gone. She's been a little fussy here and there but tylenol seems to help, so I think it will be soon.
/ first pigtails!!!
/ she can do "SOOO big!" with her arms in the air.
/ she pulls herself up to her knees and occasionally she has pulled up to standing in her crib. Absolutely not even close to walking.
/ she is saying a few more words- the funniest thing:  Blythe loves to dress up like Elsa and sing "Let It Go." She loves it so much, it happens about 80 times a day. Now, when she puts on the dress and starts getting ready for her "performance", Becks starts saying "GO!" Seriously. It happens. I'm not making this up.
/ She continues to observe everything and be the happy, content, sweet baby we have grown to adore. 1 year...here we come!

10 months of Becks Lynae

one day the light was right and I snapped a few pictures of Becks and captured the real beauty of her eyes. no photoshop here, folks!

Weight: At her appointment last month she was still under 16 lbs. So somewhere in that range.

Clothes and Diapers: 9 month, 9-12, and some 12 month. Again, she wears mostly hand me downs so I think they all may be a touch small at this point. Size 3 diapers. Still Luvs.

Eating: She is eating anything in sight. Wowsers. Nurses three times a day: when she wakes up in the morning and then when she wakes from her morning and afternoon naps. So the last time I nurse is 3/4. Which is awesome. I really think we're almost done. The other night my mom made black bean burgers and I could hardly get it on her plate fast enough because she was devouring it. I tried formula in her sippy cup, as I'm setting my sights on weaning soon, and she didn't go for it. We may switch to cow's milk and call it good.

Sleeping: Still taking two naps and her afternoon nap seems to be stretching out a bit which is glorious. She's ready ready ready for bed at 7.

first time I found her sitting up.
we dropped the crib this month.

Accomplishments/ things to note:

/ this month was crazy big in the "accomplishments" department!
/ TWO TEETH! One at the front end of the month, one just this past week. I think this is why her appetite spiked.
/ first ponytail!!!
/ Blythe is playing more with Becks, and Becks is responding and laughing and going along with it more. It's my favorite thing ever to watch!
/ she blows kisses...well, she puckers her lips in a kiss and blows. Goll dang it's cute.
/ she started sitting herself up.
/ she started CRAWLING! I couldn't believe it. She never army crawled or got up and rocked. One day she just crawled. Very methodical, perfect little crawl.
/funny story for the month/ a reason why Brent and I should win parents of the year: the other day Brent and I were watching a show and Becks woke up pretty early from her nap. I happened to have some yogurt puffs which she LOVES, and we wanted to finish our show. We literally sat on the couch and I tossed those puffs from one end of the room to the other and she would crawl, grab one, sit up and enjoy it, then crawl for the next one. We were able to finish our show this way. So for those of you that think we are great parents, think again. :)

9 months of Becks

Click here for previous monthly updates of Becks.
her hair had been in her first ponytail right before we took these :)

these lips, all the time

Weight: ? Less than 20. She has an appointment this week and then I will know.

Clothes and Diapers: I just packed away all of her 6 month clothes and most of her 6-9 month as well. 9 month is fitting her just about perfectly. Still in size 3 diapers.

Eating: Okay. This is a big deal. We have changed a lot in the last month and I couldn't be happier to say that we are now only nursing THREE times a day! I cut the early morning one out at the beginning of the month, and just last week we cut out the last one of the day. Big deal. HUGE. We are one step closer to being done! Woohoo! She is still loving eating real food and I just know she would love a mouth full of teeth because she wants everything we are having and will eat just about anything.

Sleeping: Still taking two naps, one is always longer than the other and it just depends on the day as to which one that is. She goes down for the night at 7. Which seems super earlier but she just can't last much past that. And then we cut out that 5:30/6 a.m. feeding and she sleeps until 7:30 now and sometimes 8. A very good month of progress in the sleep and feeding department.

Accomplishments/ things to note:

/ she finally is rolling around in her crib and I walk in to find on her stomach and pushing up, but she still prefers to sleep on her back.
/ she reaches so far out for toys while she is sitting that a lot of times she topples over and then rolls around a bit.
/ still gives those puckered-lip kisses and it's the best. Brent and I look like fools trying to convince her to give us one.
/ she's been fussier in the evenings [after 5 or so] but this is the witching hour for all children, is it not?
/ we had our first night apart when I went to a women's retreat with my church. She still isn't taking a bottle but Brent managed to mix some milk in some cereal and she was content and happy and slept for him. I know some women struggle with that first time leaving their kids over night, but...can I say this?... I don't. I was happy to get back to them, obviously, though.
/ she is getting a little feisty when Blythe takes something or looks at her funny or she wants something and can't reach it. There is some fire in her, that's for sure.
/ she took her first trip to Springfield/Joplin and her first time to Aunt Ceann's and Aunt Beth's. The weather was remarkably warm and it was such a good trip.
/she figured out how to pick up puffs and other small pieces of food off of her tray. This is a BIG deal. I can now cook a meal and fill her with puffs.
/ she is still one of the sweetest little humans I have ever known.

ahem.
Blythe: You hold me and Dadda will take a picture.

How is my first baby almost three?
